“Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD,
the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is wear y?
there is no searching of his understanding.
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint.”

In the writings of Isaiah, we learn about the mightiness of God. Isaiah was am called by God in a vision given to him. He was caught up the to the throne of God where the seraphim angels were constantly bowing before God and declaring His holiness (Isaiah 6).The Lord’s glory was so powerful that smoke billowed through the heavenly temple. Such an amazing vision to behold. In this devotion, Isaiah declares the strength of God, that He does not faint or weary. No one can measure the extent of God’s knowledge and understanding. Isaiah declares in the last verse how those that wait on the Lord will have their strength renewed. When we look at the words of Isaiah, we can only begin to understand how mighty and holy our God truly is. Listen to the words of the prophet, draw closer to God and we will experience His strength.
